After shampooing with a sulfate-free cleanser, apply a generous amount of conditioner to clean, towel-dried hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends—especially the most tangled or damaged areas. Gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and working up, and let it sit for 3–5 minutes so it can fully soak in. Rinse well with cool water to help smooth your hair. Gently squeeze out extra water and continue with your leave-in and styling products. For a deeper treatment, use more conditioner, cover your hair with a warm towel or cap, and rinse after 15–20 minutes.
